What is happening with the roads in our neighborhood?
Cimarron Country has around 8 miles of public roads that are owned and maintained by the County. So what happens when there is a pothole or something needs to be repaired? You guessed it, the county will fix it but they have to be notified first. The County doesn’t have the resources to monitor the conditions of all the roads in Montgomery, so our POA acts as a liaison for them. Our Vice President, Alex Chappell, has been working with the County for some time to identify the roads that need improvement. Our POA and the County came up with a plan for improvements. Generally, the County allows one mile per year for re-paving. This is why only certain portions of the roads are being repaved at a time. Deer Lodge was completed in April of 2023! It sure looks nice. We all appreciate your patience while the work was being completed. This is an ongoing project until all roads have been repaved. We hope that about one mile of road will be repaired yearly until completion.
